New restrictions in place in the UK have meant that our residential songwriting retreat at Halsway Manor with Reg Meuross and Findlay Napier has moved online.
From a Distance is a three-day songwriting ‘retreat’ that you can attend from the comfort of your own home (you can even wear your slippers!) and songwriters of all levels are very welcome.
This will be a wonderful opportunity to forget about the rest of the world and just write songs, talk about songwriting, and hang out (from a distance, but definitely together) with like-minded people.
Carefully crafted by two of the UK’s most respected singer-songwriters, ‘From A Distance’ includes our usual mix of workshops, exercises and inspiration, with plenty of support from Reg and Findlay with assistance from Company of Song founder Katie Whitehouse.
We’ll send you a clear timetable in advance with individual and group tasks that will stretch and challenge your writing, and participants will have the chance to perform songs for Reg and Findlay in song clinics and receive expert feedback and guidance on how to progress in their writing.
The retreat runs on Zoom from 10am Tuesday 2nd Feb to 8pm Thursday 4th Feb 2021, with plenty of writing time, Q&A sessions, and a live gig with a very special guest to round off the event on Thursday.
